'Tis a tale of two finales tonight: This shit season of 'Dexter' can't end soon enough, while 'Homeland' is probably my most anticipated single episode of ANYTHING this year. Either way, though, I've gotta avoid spoilers for at least a day: It's 'Survivor' night. Team Ozzy.
I agree 'Dexter' has been utter shit this year and by far it's worst season, while 'Homeland' is probably my favourite show of the year too, I heard it's supposed to be a 90 minute finale also.

A month after I was praising it, I cannot believe how off the rails this season of Dexter has gone. Sunday's episode was by far the worst episode of the entire series. Just embarrassing. There needs to be a series-changing event in the finale to make this show relevant again. How did we go from the brilliance of Season 4 - just a perfect season of television - to this?
oh it wasn't nearly that bad at all, still miles ahead of Season 5. Lookin forward to the finale.
No way - MUCH worse than anything in Season 5 (and I despised Lumen). Two scenes in particular: The Deb dream, and that cornball sequence on the boat where Dexter talks about luring Travis out. It was just so hokey and poorly written ... I've never seen the show sink that low before. Things are reaching '24' territory now ... when '24' was in its dark place.
I haven't watched anything from this season yet. Heard mostly positive things, but I was waiting till the end to see how everyone liked it.

There's just something cool about buying my five-year-old nephew 'Ultra Man' on DVD, knowing that when I was his age my life practically revolved around that show. The difference is, kids today can punch up any show they want, any time they want. Back in the day, you had to plan for this stuff. You missed it, you were shit out of luck.
I have the entire first season on DVD! Loved Ultraman as a kid! Still do!
