ugh! still gives me the shivers when I watch it. But, it was his choice. I don't get all the uproar about mandatory helmets in pre-game skates... why? These players are adults, they're millionaires, who cares -- they can make up their minds on their own.
@WP because the even richer people who pay their millions, pay them to skate, not to be too cool for helmets and than end up with an injury that could cost them their professional sports future. These aren't chumps skating at the Y, these are key members who's well-being is detrimental to the financial success of the franchise (I actually don't really know how important this kid is, but it is a blanket statement for all professional sports regardless). Some athletes' contracts go as far as to bar motorcycles and activities like bungee jumping.
@cereal - oh yeah I get that, but what I'm referring to is a lot of the statements from non-GMs/owners etc. aka not the people paying them who had the same things to say about mandatory visors recently
@WP you mean the paying customers? I say they have a voice in the issue too, afterall, they are paying. Or maybe the commentators? Who wants to listen to them if half the line up is out with injuries?

Fuk!!
