Anyone know if Oliver Stone is planning a new film or not? And if he is, do you know what it's (working) title is, and / or what it's about? I'm extremely anxious for him to get back behind the camera, and in the writer's chair (or whatever) and give us another Oliver Stone Classic like "JFK", NATURAL BORN KILLERS", "U-TURN", "BORN ON THE 4TH OF JULY", "ALEXANDER: REVISITED", or "HEAVEN & EARTH". He should really get back to the basics that made him one of the very best, and in demand filmmaker's of the 1980's & 1990's. I desparately want to see the man redeem himself after his last few films "WORLD TRADE CENTER", "W.", "WALL STREET: MONEY NEVER SLEEPS", and "SAVAGES". The latter was the biggest disappointment of them all because, I LOVED the book "SAVAGES" by Don Winslow. I only read it after learning that Stone was making the book into his next feature film. I waited a whole year in great anticipation only to arrive at the first showing (at my local cinema) on July 06, 201...

I thought Money Never Sleeps was great and dug World Trade Center too. Savages was terribly mediocre though, a big disappointment. Natural Born and 4th of July were fantastic though. As for what he's doing next... not sure, he did do this though http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1494191/

and has two more TV projects lined up in the future (one a TV movie and the other another TV series)

It's an awesome, awesome film! It truly is. I just checked out your top "sci - fi" Film list and saw that one of your favorites is WATERWORLD. I think if you liked WATERWORLD you will definetely like THE POSTMAN. Both are VERY underrated and both are brilliant! THE POSTMAN in my opinion was the very best film of 1997 just as I think WATERWORLD was the best Film of 1995! Check it out when you can, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Alexander

2004-alexander-6

Written by: Oliver Stone
Cast: Colin Farrell, Angelina Jolie, Anthony Hopkins, Val Kilmer, Jared Leto, Rosario Dawson, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers
Studio: Warner Bros
Genre: Biography, Drama, War
Official Site: www.alexanderthemovie.com
Plot: King of Macedonia & one of the greatest military leaders of all time conquer's 90 % of the known world before dying at the age of 32.

Review:

Oliver Stone's epic film ALEXANDER opened in November 2004 to extremely harsh criticism and negative reviews. I personally didn't ever understand the critics' reactions because they were picking at the movie and totally discounting it because of ridiculous things like, "Colin Farrell's blonde hair & Irish accent", and "Angelina Jolie's Transylvanian accent", and especially the "homosexual undertones between Alexander & Hephaistian". Okay, so...those things make ALEXANDER a "bad" movie...[more]...
