Agree with both of you. It is Wrecking Ball and it is FANTASTIC! Can't stop listening to it actually:)
Jack of All Trades is just mind blowing. in 6 minutes, it goes from heart breaking to inspirational to uplifting to this big huge epic finale!
See, I went in knowing nothing and REALLY enjoyed it. No trailer or clip, so I had no idea what it was about. That said, it was really super funny and when I watched the trailer afterwards I laughed at that. However, if you are not digging the trailer you may not find it funny. But man, I laughed and I cried;)
Good question Sir Randychico... He is pretty hit or miss with me. I really liked ELF though.
I love them too. But if they don't accept my challenge they are fucking pussies.
I wouldn't hesitate to drink his milkshake ... wait was I referring to JimmyO or Paul Dano or both? ;-)
Maybe a 7... It's kinda of dumb, but I found it entertaining. A romantic popcorn movie for sure.
cool good to know. that's pretty much what i was expecting with everyone involved in this movie. thanks buddy
I think the problem is our current culture is obsessed with attributing numerical value to pretty much everything. When it comes to film, especially those on a level beyond standard evaluation (Tree of Life, Antichrist, ect.), slapping a number on it for quality kind of dumbs it down.
Dude, I couldn't agree more. I used to do grades, but that got old. Then, I moved to a "best out of 10" and that was just as cheap. I don't put grades or ratings at the end of the reviews on my site anymore. In the end, I think a review should be just that...a review...not a score.
If people want a score, they can go to ESPN. If it's numbers you want, got to box office mojo. If you want thoughts, perspective, opinion, and a general feel for the overall film? That's a review.
Plus, with using ratings and numbers and scores, people will tend to treat everything written as fodder. They just want to "get to the score" so they scroll to the bottom and viola! It's an 8! It got a B+! That's all I need to know!
I'm guilty of looking at the overall score on Rotten Tomatoes, but I don't just stop there. I look to see what the critics are actually "saying," to get a feel for why they either liked or disliked a particular film. For the sake of instant satiety, people go right for the number and lose all sense of reasoning for it.
Good topic...got me all fired up...where's the tylenol?
This is a great series of documentaries. Heartbreaking for both the kids accused and the families of the boys that were murdered. A great insight into injustice in this country. The one thing I really liked was the inclusion of Metallica in the soundtrack since that was the main reason the WM3 were accused: Metal. Does this one has Metallica as well?
It does, and once again Metallica is used exceedingly well. It's a must see man!
just an amazing song
