Best/Worst Boston Accents

1. Best - Mark Wahlberg-Everything (only guy on this list actually from Boston, Dorchester neighboorhood to be exact)
2. Best - The Affleck Boys and Matty Damon- You're thinking..OBVIOUSLY JEN THEY ARE FROM BOSTON! But no, they're not. They're from Cambridge, which borders Boston and the accent is differnt. But they grew up close enough that its super easy to slip into one. (kindda like being from Queens, and pulling of a Brooklyn accent, they are different, but very similar)
3. Best -Denis Leary-Everything. Not actually from Boston. He's from Worcester (my hometown) about 50 minutes (in Mass we measure distance by time, not by actual distance) from Boston. So our accent is a lighter version of the Boston accent, but he/we can easily lay it on think and have it still be natural.
4. Best - Amy Ryan-Gone Baby Gone
5. Best - Jeremy Renner -The Town
6. Best - John Ratzenberger-Cheers
7. Best - The Tin Man-The Wizard of Oz "If I only hadda haaaaaat"
8. Somewhat Acceptable - Blake Lively-The Town
9. Somewhat Acceptable - Alec Baldwin - The Departed
10. Somewhat Acceptable - Leo Dicaprio-The Departed
11. Worst - Robin Williams-Good Will Hunting

So I have this idea for a blog/top 10 list. I want to do Good Accent/Bad Accent. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized I really only know the Mass accent. Like say an actor from Texas was trying to do a Mississippi accent. To most people, theyd just hear a southern accent and be fine, but to people in Mississippi, theyd know it was way off. Obviously there are some accents we all can agree are bad though. Anyways, Im going to make mine for Good/Bad Boston Accents, and I thought it would be cool if you guys did one for your area. NJ/FLorida/Mexico/The UK/Canada...wherever your from.

FYI-Heres what a natural/non movie Boston accent sounds like. There are some words that are noticable "park" but mostly, its not nearly as strong as movies make it out to be. This is what we actually sound like

trust me, myself and everyone else from mass agree, its horrible. to faked and forced. maybe a non native dosnt notice, but the rest of us do. also very uneven, he only emphasized a small number of works instead of doing the actual accent. I kept wincing every times he randomly said a word that was so off. Its one of the hardest accents toget right, so I give him credit for trying at least. Very few people so, (to tbh, they are almost 90% of the time New Englanders or New Yorkers (similar accents). Still he was AMAZING in this move. I just want to watch it over and over because of him.

Glasses you wear (like regular glasses) but..its like a camera/computer screen. You can search the web/view pics/ do video chatting /see directions all without a computer and while actually interacting with the world. Its like Wall-E come to life.

Guilt Pleasure Confession- Ive begun watching The Carrie Diaries. I didnt like Sex and the City AT ALL, but I really like this show. Its more of a teen show than SATC (no nudity/sex, more for a 16 year old than a 36 year old) But its cute, I LOVE the 80s ness of it all, and AnnaSophia Robb is wonderful.

who said i want to get schmoes off of mfc. ive been fb friends with like 20 or so fb friends for the past 2 years and we talk on fb all the time. but theres never been a group so we can all talk together. we'll still use MFC just as much, that wont change. also, I do whatever the hell I want and dont give a shit what anyone else thinks. In Jen's defense, FB has allowed me to chat directly with various schmoes. I have gotten so much closer to GoNads through fb and I'm so grateful for MFC for introducing me to all these amazing people. I still use MFC just as much though, and for me at least, FB is a means of chatting through messages and whatnot

i was less of a fan of SK. I didnt think it was bad, just slightly below average. im not a keanu fan at all. Still semi-entertaining though. The only movies of his i thought were "bad" were NATM and FF2. even FF was cheesy but entertaining for what it was. The other 2 were just painful and I will never again watch them.

Thanks to WalkAway's Schmoe Crush GIfs, I know what movie Im going to watch tonight. Going with a Chris movie of course. The GIF was Push so that's tonights choice. Yeah the movie was a bit of a mess, but its still fun and entertaining. Plus Dakota Fanning and Camilla Belle are adorable, and I love them. If you havent seen it, its worth a viewing.
