Im going to read Gone Girl after watching the movie. While I found the movie pretty predictable, Im hoping the book is better. oh and also ******SPOILERS****** By the end, if i were him i would have killed her for real. go to a therapist a few months before killing her, tell the therapist and describe her symptoms as post pardom/ptsd. Talk her to friends about her "depression" (plant the seed in their heads). Then kill her and make it look like suicide. im guessing no one would just to the conclusion that he murdered her again, after they were all wrong the first time. and its pretty believable that a women who went through those experiences would commit suicide.

Random Favorite Character : Castiel

"You know, I've...I've been here for a very long time. And I remember many things. I remember being at a shoreline, watching a little grey fish heave itself up on the beach and an older brother saying, "don't step on that fish, Castiel. Big plans for that fish." I remember the Tower of Babel...All 37 feet of it, which I suppose was impressive at the time. And when it fell, they howled 'divine wrath'. But come on - dried dung can only be stacked so high. I remember Cain and Abel...David and Goliath...Sodom and Gomorrah. And, of course, I remember the most remarkable event - remarkable because it never came to pass. It was averted by two boys, an old drunk and a fallen angel. The grand story. And we ripped up the ending and the rules...And destiny...leaving nothing but freedom and choice. Which is all well and good, except... Well, what if I've made the wrong choice? How am I supposed to know? I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me tell you my story. Let me tell you everything. " - Castiel

WTH Happened to Movie Posters

This is really interesting. My friend, who is a graphic designer, talks about how lazy posters have gotten.

Truman Show poster is pretty amazing though.

What is your favorite poster?

Exactly the question behind the creation of the Alternative Movie Posters book. How very far mainstream poster creation has fallen. Though he is being just a little unfair to some of the better modern efforts, like the Thor 2 poster.

That's a very good question.

Within 10 minutes of watching Muppets take Manhattan (a movie that ive probably seen near 50 times) Ive laughed like 12 times. Its sad that most adult movies of today dont have the type humor that 80s Muppets did. Even worse are the childrens/family movies of today. They dont come close to this level of funny. Most just dumb things down for kids. Makes me so sad.

We pretty much like the same kind of guys!!!! Jensen all the way. While I didn't like American Hustle, the character (as the actor) was extremely sexy.

The Great Gatsby. Yay or Nay? It's on demand for free. I couldnt even get through the first 10 pages of the book (BOOOORINNG) and have no idea what it's about, but I love Leo, and feel like it's one of those basic knowledge things I should have reference to. Is is worth it to try and watch, or am I just going to be bored like I was with that book?
Righteous_faustus
Righteous_faustus at 01:54 AM Jan 01

I'd say go for it. I'm not too wild about the movie but baz's style really compliments the lifestyle of Gatsby.

Wow had no idea people felt so strongly one way or the other about this film/movie. Honestly, Im just not a reader. Which is weird, since I collect books. I have hundreds and hundreds of books, and can spend hours in bookstores browsing, but dont like reading very much.

I think the only books ive read in the last 5 years were the hunger games series. If Im going to read something, Id prefer YA Novels to adult classics. And No GG wasnt required in my high school. Just boring shit like The Scarlet Letter and Great Expectations. Fuck that shit. I dont even think I read 1/2 of what was required in HS. As a kid I used to love to read. Id read an entire book a day, and used to stay inside from recess to read. Then I got to high school and they made us read all this classic shit and I learned to hate reading. I ended up cliffnotes-ing everything.

Dont know if anyone here is in the market for a new blu-ray, but I recently got one and it's AMAZING!!! The Sony BDP-S3100. It has all the standards (Netflix, Hulu Plus, YouTube, Pandora, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon Instant Video) But it has full internet, as well as the Sony Entertainment Network with over 100+ apps/services. The picture is great. Ive used my friends bluray players a lot, but none of them came close to offering what this one does. I can say Ive cut out my computer usage by about 50% just due to this blu-ray. Online its selling for about $75, which at first I thought was high. But with everything it does, I now feel like its a total bargain. it basically turns your tv into a smart tv. So thats my recommendation for youi guys if you need a new blu-ray

I finally got to see the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. It made me super sad to see David Tennant. It was like having a boyfriend who dumped you take you back only to dump you again. I got heartbroken all over again.

1- Old School Boyle..strange but good.

2. Amazing film. It should had been released later on for awards consideration.

3. Didn't like that film. I am a firm believer that there will never be a true good adaptation of that novel. One of those novels that just works in that medium.

5. Nice coming of age story

6. Funny and great addition to that group's resume

7. I liked it even though people were let down by it

8. Nowhere as good as the first. I didn't care for the strong focus on Hit-Girl's character.

9. On the surface it looks dumb but once you get passed it, it is a really interesting look at both sexes and their views of the ideal relationship.

10. I liked it..way better than Iron man 3

American Hustle-9/10....Seriously...Just give ALL the awards to this movie. Esp Christian and Jen....no...wait...add in Amy. and Bradley....and Jeremy...Ok everyone was perfection. Also it was cool to see my little po'dunk town of Worcester throughout the movie (I had my senior prom where Jeremy's character gave his speech). By far my favorite movie of the year. Also not to be crass, but Amy's boobs basically had a staring role. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!
