I don't think it will be canceled (unless it sucks), they're gonna start with big number which, even if they decline, will have them renewing in the hopes it will pick up something from the first episodes.

Well then call me girly because that is a guilty pleasure of mine as well. The greatest is when Tate Donovan gets revenge on that girl in the bar. Good movie choice for the evening, enjoy.

Even just watching this 6 minutes I realize just how magical it is. Thank you Jim, for always making me feel something for this movie, no matter how many times Ive seen it. Its a true classic.

#4 and #7 are the only ones I've seen. I really want to check out The Stand and Neverland. I've never heard of The 10th Kingdom, but it sounds cool...I'll have to check that one out too.
Yeah whenever I'm on netflix instant, I always see The Stand and think about starting it...I will soon haha. I just checked, and both Neverland and The 10th Kingdom are on there as well :) Thanks for the heads up!
Randon underrated movies you might not have seen, but probably should

Chillin'Movies that would make great TV shows
The Craft- The movie came out 17 years ago. While I love the original movie, I wouldn't want a show with the same characters. Id rather it be something along the lines of Sarah (the main girls) daughter is starting high school and realizing she has the same powers as her mom. I would want it to be similar in that she also has a bunch of friends who are playing around with something they dont really understand. The difference would be Sarah's daughter understands her power as her mom has been open with her about her abilities. Perhaps her friends start off as not such bad kids, but over time as they get further into the magic they dont always do the right thing and it starts to change them for the worse, and Sarah's daughter has to balance it out. Id want the show to be dark with a lot of supernatural stuff and as horror like as you can get for a tv show.
Harry Potter- This is more of a wait 5-10 years thing until the movies have been over a lot more. I would love to see their parents as kids in the first wizarding war. Ive only read 2 of the books, but theers a ton of stuff that didnt make it into the movies, or was just mentioned briefly. I remember reading Goblet of Fire in first chapter they talk a bit about the past and it could have been made into a 1 hour episode if you did it right. Yet in the movie it only takes up a few minutes. Rowling could be on board and help to expand the HP universe.
The Truman Show- Not really sure if this would work, but it would be interesting to find out. It could not only show the main characters POV ( I would want it to be a different person since no one could come close to being as good as Jim in that movie, so lets call our guy....Grant idk whatever. presidents.) The show would have Grant's POV, as well as his family/friend who are really actors and what they are going through, as well as the citizens of the world and how it affects them(maybe the dedicated viewer or the viewer who wants to rebel and has moral issues with the show), as well as the production crew and the decisions they make. On second thought, I think if done well, this could be a fucking awesome show.
What movies do you guys think would make good tv shows? Post your ideas, Im super interested.
Chillin'Wow both great ideas ^ the truman show would be awesome and The Craft would be sort of like Charmed with some teen drama like Gossip Girl or something
I coulda swore they had tried to make The Craft tv show before. I know I'm not just thinking of Charmed

Go to Google images and type in the name of your MFC celebrity bf/gf and post the very first image. (include these rules in the post so others know what's going on).
Boredthanks! i couldnt figure it out, so i gave up. computer stuff is hard. I wish we could put spaces in statuses. i type something, then it gets all smushed together.
Just my random thought.
People get paid 1 of 2 ways. What they are worth, or what they earn. Most people get paid what they are worth. But that way is very subjective. Is a teacher worth 40k? some say thats to high other say that's to low. Most people hear of someone salary and evaluate it based on what they are worth.
Then there's paying someone what they earn. This way is much less subjective. Its based on concrete numbers. If you create a paint a picture, and someone paid 1 mill for that picture, you earned 1 mill, that's a fact, but was your effort worth 1 mill, debatable.
So lets say you earned that 1 mill from the paining. Would you say to yourself, "well I worked hard, but I wasn't curing cancer like my friend the doctor, or teaching kids to read like my neighbor the teacher, so I'm just going to keep 50k (what i'm worth) and chuck the rest of the money in the fireplace." Of course not! you earned that money, even if you are not worth it.
Actors are the same. They created a piece of art and we as the buyer spend lots of money to obtain that art. So is their effort to create a movie millions (maybe, maybe not) but they sure as hell earned it.
BoredI dun know. As I said in my earlier post I don't know how movie wages work. I have no idea other from what I read in that deadline article. That said I'm on the fence regarding Avengers 2. I don't see Marvel as some tight big bad. I don't think the actors are being greedy.
some people say a teacher's 40K salary is too low?!
But it's different with actors... it isn't a commission job traditionally, but instead a steady salary based on full participation during the production. Just in recent years it seems more and more and more actors are wanting a percentage of the revenue, or demanding super high salaries.
I mean if we're talking about the artist painting a picture and someone paying 1 million for that picture... then first and foremost the DIRECTOR should be getting paid the most, not the director's actors -- which would be like the artist's paints.
Captain America vs. Real America
Kevin Smith fanboying over Chris Evans is adorable. He couldn't even call him Chris, he just kept calling him Captain America the whole time.
BoredIts like Captain America and the real America. That was a pretty funny line
Firefly
When discussing whether or not he'd revive Firefly, Netflix's Ted Sarandos said "Firefly? It’s kind of been done, with Serenity, but yeah as a series. Let me give you one broad statement about these recovery shows. In almost every case the cult around the show gets more intense and smaller as time goes by. Arrested Development was the rarest of birds in that the audience of the show grew larger than the original broadcast audience because people came to discover it years after it was cancelled. The Firefly fan is still the Firefly fan from when it was on TV and there’s fewer of them and they’re more passionate every year. Whereas with Arrested Development we’re going to be serving a multiple of the original audience. Any of the other shows we could bring back would be a fraction of the original audience."
What do you guys think?
Personally I think his statement is flat out wrong. Id say the majority of firefly fans became fans YEARS after the show ended. In many times, years after Serenity came out. If fact the majority of people I know (myself included) didnt even know firefly existed when it was on TV. I believe it's a show whoes audience has only gotten larger after it's cancellation, not smaller.
That being said, I still dont think it could ever be brought back. For 1, the cast is busy doing other things, it's also been a long time (10 years now) and most of us have closure. I wouldnt want to get back into it, only to have it cancelled again in 2 or 3 years.
But the most important reason, it simply because there's no way in hell Joss has the time/energy to get back into it. And no one wants a Firefly without Joss.
Chillin'He's definitely not wrong about Arrested Development. These cult shows have no where to go but up though. I still don't think firefly is in the same class as AD unfortunately. I'd rather see a sequel to serenity than another set of episodes if anything
I agree. For him to say that the amount of Firefly fans are the same as when it was on the air is ludicrous. Most people didn't even know that show existed when it was on the air because of how badly FOX promoted it(or refused to promote it at all). While I may have been a fan since it actually was on the air, I can't count how many people I've introduced the show to. The amount of Browncoats has only grown over the years.
And I also agree it shouldn't be brought back for all the same reasons that you mentioned. You hit the nail on the head.

Hey Buffy lasted 7 seasons, so there's still hope. Also, its on ABC, not fox, so we're at least good on that.
