BBQ Bacon Cheddar Crockpot Meatballs
So this year I decided to concoct my own crockpot recipe for today's big game and since it turned out pretty damn good I figured I would share so here ya go.
MEATBALLS
Ingredients :
4 lbs ground beef (I went with 80/20)
16 strips of bacon, diced (to save time I went with a package of precooked)
2 cups of shredded cheese (cheddar obviously, but feel free to change)
1/4-1/2 cup of bread crumbs
Dashes of salt, pepper and garlic powder
Mix all the above in a large bowl until well mixed then hand roll and fry over med-high heat. Once cooked to your preference remove and let drain. Once drained place in crock pot. (I made mine the night before should you do the same when cool cover and refrigerate.)

SAUCE
Go nuts! Seriously BBQ sauce is about as sacred as the big game itself so go with what you like best. For today's game I went with 4 reg size bottles of Open Pit (2 bottles of Thick & Tangy and 2 of Chargrill mixed and then poured over meatballs) set crockpot to low about 5hrs before kickoff so they can soak in the awesomesauce (I love P&R) had a sample a few minutes ago and I'm goona go ahead and say they rock.
Enjoy!
If anyone does decide to make them I would love feedback.
