A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas is exactly what you think it is stupid, vulgar, racist, crude and most of all hilarious.
If your going to see a Harold and Kumar movie your not expecting much of a plot or character development. Your expecting a good entertainment and plenty of laughs, and this film gives you both.
The plot if you can call it that is basically about Harold now married and trying to have a baby with the smoking hot Maria trying to impress his very imposing father in law played by the always awesome Danny Trejo by combing the city trying to replace a tree that Kumar burned down with a joint. Its not a very complex plot but, neither was going to White Castle now was it.
It wouldn't be a Harold and Kumar film if not for the outrageousness of everything. The two mistakenly give a small child not only a second hand high from marijuana, but also cocaine and Ecstasy. There is also a russian gangster after them for and they shoot Santa Claus in the head.
The greatest thing about this third go around with the twosome is none other then NPH himself who shows up for another fantastic cameo. He is basically making fun of his real life persona and even breaks the 4th wall.
For some unforeseen reason the makers of this film decided to use 3D and normally I avoid 3D like the plague but this film used the technology pretty well. They used it as a gimmick and weren't afraid of it everything was thrown at the screen or out of the screen as it were they even managed to have the pot smoke 3D and you will never listen to Bing Crosby's White Christmas the sam way again after this film.
Now was The third Harold and Kumar film really necessary, probably not, but it sure was entertaining and a fun time at the theatre. Bring on the fourth
