This is a scene from my favorite musical, "It's Always Fair Weather", closely followed by "Singing in the Rain" and of course the original "The Producers".
When you think of the golden age of musicals a few men come to mind, but I think it is safe to say that after this serious display of skill (Gets really good around the 2:20 mark) Gene Kelly dared anybody to do better.
The most remarkable thing about this scene is it is essentially done in one take, and from all accounts he wasn't using any trick skates or anything. The guy was tap dancing on FREAK'N ROLLERSKATES!!!

Anytime TCM does a marathon of his films, of which their are many greats, my life goes on hold. Truly legendary.
