Phantom Thread was a very interesting but weird movie. This isn't my usual kind of movie being that it's a period movie and it's about a fashion designer but this has Paul Thomas Anderson and Daniel Day Lewis so they got to bring something interesting to this and they do. I'll admit the first half, I wasn't sure if I was really with this movie as it felt very cold and emotionally impenetrable, which I feel was the point as far as the setting and establishing Lewis' character but at the same, I was entertained by it. The second half made all that worth it and it finally got to me what it was trying to acheive with its tone and its characters. It goes to some very unexpected places that I appreciated and makes the slow pace worth it.

I hated Bottle Rocket, but loved Moonrise Kingdom.

Bottle Rocket, Moonrise Kingdom, and Jaws! Great movies. And H20 is fun too!

@Laksmikanti: Yeah, Bottle Rocket's not as impressive compared to Anderson's others but there's enough good stuff in there to make it rewatchable. It just doesn't really go anywhere storywise. Moonrise Kingdom is definitely one of my favorites of his and the Criterion blu-ray is great as well.

@Bitto: Totally agree. Had a good time with all these.
