Review:

Ron Howard's A Beautiful Mind stars Russell Crowe as a mentally ill mathematician named John Nash. The film chronicles the years Nash spent with schizophrenia and how he, along with his wife Alicia (played by Oscar winner Jennifer Connelly), learned to cope with it. Nash eventually loses touch with reality and is unable to live a normal life. He also has to deal with his best friend Charles (Paul Bettany) and a shady acquaintance played by Ed Harris. John begins to become paranoid as his condition grows worse while his wife stands by his side no matter what. Crowe's heartfelt performance is one of the keys to why this film works, along with Connelly. Connelly is so great and was highly deserving of her Oscar playing a committed wife to Nash. The Nash's relationship is a great example of what movies today rarely present. Howard and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman successfully bring a heartbreaking and touching story to life. If anyone has yet to see this great film, it should be on everyone's must see list. This film will go beyond your expectations and you surely won't be disappointed.
