Wrestlemania 28 Prediction Blog

Standalone

Here's the card as of now:

The Rock vs John Cena

Analysis: I'm loving the promos that these two have been dishing out over the past few weeks. This match is a dream match in a way as well as two generations meet up. It can generate the same atmosphere that Rock/Hogan did at Wrestlemania 18. I still think Cena will probably win this match, but the possibility of Rock winning remains strong.

Hell in a Cell
Special Referee: Shawn Michaels

Triple H vs The Undertaker

Analysis: I don't mind another match between these two. THey delivered the past two times and the addition of Hell in a Cell and Michaels make this a very epic confrontation. A very brutal match we can see here. I'm picking Undertaker in keeping the streak alive.

WWE Championship
CM Punk(c) vs Chris Jericho

Analysis: This is going to be Match of the Night for sure. These two will put on a great match and the leadup has been very good especially with the involvement of Punk and his family.

World Heavyweight Championship
Daniel Bryan(c) vs Sheamus

Analysis: The forgotten match on the card. It's still amazing to see these two go from dark match to main event in a span of a year. The most interesting aspect is Daniel Bryan and his relationship with AJ that makes Bryan seem like a cocky asshole. I think that Bryan will walk out as Champ and the feud continuing.

Team Laurenitis vs Team Long
Winner Gets Full Control of Both Raw and Smackdown

Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry, Christian, David Otunga, and TBD vs Santino Marella, Kofi Kingston, Zack Ryder, The Great Khali, R-Truth, and TBD

Analysis: I don't really care for this match. I still think Long's team will win and he'll take control.

Randy Orton vs Kane

Analysis: Could be a good match. Seems like filler though. I say Orton wins.

Intercontinental Championship
Cody Rhodes(c) vs Big Show

Analysis: Why is Rhodes fighting Show at Mania when he could've had a better match. Rhodes wins easy.

Maria Menounos and Kelly Kelly vs Beth Phoenix and Eve

Analysis: Kharma should come back and clean house.

Mood: Chillin'

I love Rock but he's not the same with his comeback here. He's still got the energy and all that but honestly it seems like he's become a total dick for no reason, especially all the shit he says to Cena who finally feels real and genuine and respectful... plus on top of that even with Rock being a douche Cena was STILL owning him on their little back-and-forths for the most part... I really really wanted to cheer for the Rock but can't help but hope Cena wins (then again it is in Miami though...)

I hope the Hell in a Cell match is brutal like you say, I haven't seen one in a long time (this will be my first WWE PPV in years too) so I don't really remember how they go.

Team vs. Team I don't really care, but I hope Dolph and Swagger lose because they're totally annoying. I don't really care who wins the match overall though... all I want to see if Santino get a solid amount of screentime because that dude is hilariously awesome

as for Big Show vs. Douchebag McGee, I hope Big Show wins because well... nuff said.

as for the final women's match, I would've actually watched it if they brought that Kharma chick in like you said, but instead they're including the host of Entertainment Tonight, the editor of Vanity Fair and Nancy Grace in the 'big match' so I'll be gladly letting my bladder win and using that match as a bathroom break.

@Cochise: First off, why are you commenting on my posts? You block me and yet you have the balls to still try to play everything cool. I thought I was the devil incarnate. That's why you blocked me right?

Second of all, The Rock has always been like that face or heel. He always put people down whether it was with friends, enemies, or any other person. He hasn't changed much aside from those huge muscles of his.

lol man, I never had a problem with you - you were the one trying to constantly antagonize me and bash me, not the other way around. Sure I disliked that but I never joined in on the name calling and bashing and just ignored it finally by blocking you. The reason I blocked you was because you were making comments about me and my opinions on my pages attacking me/crossing the line of just disagreeing. Obviously that prevented you from doing so, but you did continue to try to antagonize/bash me even outside of my page, making posts/comments/etc. about me. Like I said I stayed away from it all cause I really just didn't find it worth the time, and still don't. Recently though I haven't seen or heard much of it so I guess the whole ignoring-the-bait thing worked lol ;)

Regardless that's besides the point and way off topic, the reason I commented on your post was because I'm interested in the topic and am excited to watch Wrestlemania this year, plain and simple and was interested in learning more about it/talking about it. as for the thing about The Rock, I realize he's always been like that I guess I may have worded it incorrectly, it's just when he did that in the past I could always get behind him but this time, as much as I like him, he just seems like a total asshole even though the schtick is the same, and I think it's mainly because the way Cena/his character is going about this confrontation. I mean I get that a lot of people are on the hate-Cena bandwagon but I never really saw the reasons behind that. Still I figured I would easily be able to cheer against him with the Rock coming back... but instead he totally changed my mind in recent weeks/months. He just seems like the real good guy of the two, the genuine one, the one people should be backing... yet from my point of view while there are Cena supporters there seem to be a lot of people cheering the 'bad guy' on this one and it just feels weird. I would've much preferred if Rock had just been I don't know... just more respectful, at least at some point. I've seen a few times now recently where Cena has basically put his hand out and shown his respect for Rock, being humble and basically saying lets have a great match, lets make a match to remember... and then Rock just spits on his hand and punches him in the face. I was actually pretty sad to see Rock do that, the whole back-and-forth was great but it would've been way cooler if at some point (like one of those times) it would've finally turned from a war of words to two huge wrestlers respecting eachother and vowing to put on an amazing match... can't always get what you want though and I guess it's super rare to see a big matchup like that where the two wrestlers are on good terms going in but it's just sad to see Rock so unlikable. I mean hell, it would've worked if Cena was made out to be a jerk/a bad guy or even if he really disliked Rock but instead it just feels awkward, one guys saying 'I respect you and I want to have a great match against you, I can't wait and I'm so glad I have this opportunity' and the others saying 'it doesn't matter you pussy ass punk!' I mean uh... oh well though, should be fun to watch no matter how it ends!

I really wish WWE would promoted the D Bryan/Sheamus match more and play up just how much they've changed in just the span of a year from being the heel Sheamus against the face Bryan for the US Title for reversed roles fighting for the World Title. Plus it's also the only event of the headliners that features two guys from the current permanent roster, they didn't have to bring back another wrestler from years ago (ie Rock, Jericho, Undertaker) these are two guys who work hard every week

There's so much potential in these matches, I hope they deliver.

@Cochise: All that shows me is that you have no sense of humor unless its at the expense of someone else and that you think you're a saint when history says otherwise. A new profile and name doesn't change who you are and what you have done. I still think you're a tool so that's not going to change.
