MFC Halloween Survey

1. What animals are you afraid of? Jellyfish! I don't actually think that counts as an animal, but whatever.

2. Are you afraid of clowns? Not particularly.

3. Are you claustophobic? Not really...

4. What urban legends scared you as a kid (or now)? The Hook

5. Do you have any phobias? Globophobia (seriously, I'm afraid of balloons).

6. What else are you afraid of? Not really afraid, but not a fan of heights or spiders for the most part.

7. Do you believe in any cryptozoologic creatures? Where do I even BEGIN?! Yes! Mermaids, ghosts, yeti, Loch Ness monster, Ogopogo... Yup!

Things From Movies I Wish I Owned

1. The pair of magical jeans from Sisterpants. Oh right, for the rest of you who use proper names of things… That’s the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

2. The cloak of invisibility from Harry Potter. Mind you, it probably wouldn’t do me much good with me living in the middle of nowhere, but it would still be awesome to own. I would also add the Marauder’s Map, but I already have one of those and it’s called an iPhone.

3. A dæmon from The Golden Compass… Ok, so this isn’t technically something you can own, but I still want one nonetheless.

4. A sonic screwdriver – So what that this is from a TV show instead of a movie… DEAL with it! My list, my rules. How awesome would it be to own a sonic screwdriver though? And possibly a TARDIS?

5. A Babylon candle from Stardust… it can take you anywhere you think of!

6. A pet zombie like Billy Connolly in Canadian film Fido.

7. Falcor and/or Artex from the Neverending Story… but not Gmork (for those of you who missed my post about this particular subject… Gmork gave me nightmares well into my teen years…)

8. Empire Records… Need I say more? I WANT to own that EXACT music store.

9. A proton pack from Ghostbusters… because I’m starting to think that my house is haunted due to unexplained whistling and objects being moved from one room to another, also inexplicably.

10. A CATBUS from My Neighbor Totoro! Why? Because it’s a bus and a CAT!

11. Honourable mentions go to the house from Up (if I didn’t have an irrational fear of balloons) and an actual flying broom from oh, let’s say Kiki’s Delivery Service since I’ve already mentioned Harry Potter.

1. What's Your Home Town - Lansdowne, ON - Canada

2. What Makes You Stand Out in a Crowd - I'm not entirely sure, but I am a complete crazy magnet.

3. Preferred Hot Drink - Flavoured lattes of just about any variety.

4. What Type of Drunk Are You - Much happier, much chattier, much more inclined to sing, dance and do things I wouldn't normally do sober.

12. Piercings and Tattoos - I have two (technically three... one is covered up), I have matching wings on my ankles that my tattoo artist pal designed for me. Plus my nose is pierced, plus the standard earrings and the top of one of my ears is pierced.

Canada's Favourite Things:

1. Maple Leafs – Because they’re on our flag, we like maple syrup and we still like the Toronto Maple Leafs even though they suck.

2. Hockey – What Canadian HASN’T played hockey, or at the very least WATCHED hockey. It is THE Canadian pastime.

3. Beavers – That’s right folks, we love our beavers. Beavers, beavers, beavers. We have some super nice beavers up in the great north.

4. The word “Eh” – I don’t think it’s as bad as the world makes it out to be, but I definitely catch myself saying “eh” a good many times on any given day.

5. Being Polite – For the most part, Canadians ARE a kind and polite people. However, if you’ve been to Toronto, you will know that this is not true. It’s the Canadian New York.

6. Poutine – We invented that heart attack waiting to happen. And it’s delicious.

7. Beer – I mean, who DOESN’T enjoy a good beer? I certainly love it and Bob and Doug MacKenzie love it too. Mmm… Molson.

8. Ogopogo – Canada has its very own Loch Ness Monster, which apparently resides in Lake Okanagan, British Columbia.

9. Tim Horton’s – I may not like the coffee, but us Canadians cannot deny that this is one of those things that makes us who we are. Donuts and coffee. Mmmm….

10. Canadian Women – What can I say; Canada pops out some fine looking ladies. We’ve given the world Evangeline Lilly, Elisa Cuthbert, Ellen Page, Emmanuelle Chriqui and more… refer to here for more.

If I Were A Robot...

1. My Name Would Be: CookieBot

2. My Purpose: To bring joy to people through generous cookie donations

3. My Weapons: Cookie Canon – if threatened, cookies shoot out of canons that are hidden in the arms. Canons would also be followed with lasers. Lots and lots of lasers.

4. Nicknames I would have: Toaster, Bot of Joy, Crazy Bot

5. Soundtrack: Not unlike an ice cream truck, when CookieBot is in proximity, you can hear the sweet music of various Disney soundtracks and see CookieBot singing along and dancing like no one is watching.

6. Hobbies in Spare Time: Fighting crime and getting rid of various cookie monsters that plague the city of Doughville (but not the REAL cookiemonster, since he’s now a vegetarian sworn off cookies). Also, baking more cookies of different varieties and experimenting with cookie recipes.

7. Mascots: Various birds and pigeons that have a hankering for cookies. They fight crime with CookieBot in exchange for cookies.

8. Friends: BuffyBot, GIR from Invader Zim and Mr. Butlertron (aka WESLEY) from Clone High.

9. How I Could Go Awry: If reprogrammed to hate humans, CookieBot could poison all the cookies she gives out and since everyone loves cookies, no one would suspect a thing. However, CookieBot's primary function is awesome cookies, so that is unlikely.

Most Annoying Characters in Film

1. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) in Twilight - Do I actually need to justify this?

2. Rachel (Dakota Fanning) in War of the Worlds - The ENTIRE movie, all she does is SCREAM! GAH!

3. Jar Jar Binks - Again... Do I NEED to explain why?

4. Willie Scott (Kate Capshaw) in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - She is just SO damn whiney! And all she does is just yell throughout the whole freaking movie.

5. Ruby Rhod (Chris Tucker) in The Fifth Element - The VOICE! Oh gawd, the VOICE! The movie itself is epic, but his character in the movie is unnecessary and just generally aggravating.

6. Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) in Pirates of the Caribbean - Could Elizabeth Swann have picked a more useless boyfriend? I mean, he's pretty and all, but c'mon now.

7. Mrs. Carmody (Marcia Gay Harden) in The Mist - If you've seen the film, you'll know what I'm talking about. Her religious nuttiness just made me CRAZY.

8. White Queen (Anne Hathaway) in Alice in Wonderland - Can she PLEASE just put her arms down ONCE in the film!? It's like they're stuck like that.

9. Rachel Dawes (Katie Holmes) in Batman Begins - I think Katie Holmes has ONE look when she acts. She just squints at things and always looks really annoyed with everything.

10. Shia LaBeouf in pretty well everything - I don't think this kid has been in anything that hasn't made me hate him since Even Stevens... Especially with his whole "No no... No no no no no no no no NO" thing he does in EVERY movie.

11. Honourable mentions to the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) in Alice in Wonderland, solely on the grounds that the little weird dance he does near the end of the movie makes me extremely embarrassed for him. Also, the ghetto robots in Transformers.
