Just curious: who is your favourite MODERN scream queen? :) I would probably choose Amber Heard or Danielle Harris!

I'll take your word on it being the best song, lol. Haven't seen it. Though with Marion, you can't go wrong. Love her

Honestly you aren't missing much. The film overall is pretty mediocre. The performances are good but most of the songs suck and the lead character just isn't likable and none of the girls get more than 20 mins of screen times and one musical number.
Marion though was the heart of the film. She had the most screen time after Daniel Day Lewis and she put her soul into the role and created a heartbreaking character. Honestly she is the only reason I plan on getting this film on dvd someday...when its cheap.

Cool, I was wondering what the one person who saw Nine thought of it.

I read the sequel to 'The Hunger Games' in ONE day today. 'Catching Fire' was a great sequel to the amazing first novel. The writing improved even more and further development was added to the characters and there were moments where I honestly had no idea what would happen next. Katniss is still a great character and I can't wait to see how the trilogy concludes. 10/10 (It's as good as the first novel in my opinion)

My sister got me this for Christmas and I gave her a look. I guess I owe her an apology and should start reading. Haha.

sjs, well I AM an English major and a HUGE nerd so reading fast is my specialty =P Well only if I like the book. Sadly I don't have Mockingjay yet so I'm starting another novel called Thirteen Reasons Why to hold me over until I can get the final book in the trilogy.

dead, you should definitely read the trilogy! I loved the first two books so far =D

If I could I'd take a time machine back to the 50s/60s and marry (somehow) James Dean!
Servo
Servo at 03:34 PM Mar 26

one time James Dean, Dennis Hopper and Natalie Wood decided to have a threesome, but Natalie Wood insisted that they have it in a bathtub full of a champagne. so they bought bottles and bottles of Cristal, enough to fill an entire bathtub. Natalie was the first one to go into the bathtub, and soon as she sat in the champagne she started screaming and they had to take her to the emergency room. i guess champagne in the vagina is a bad thing. who knew.

I just finished The Hunger Games...and WOW! This was a FANTASTIC young adult novel and I was afraid I would be thinking too much of Battle Royale, but it never crossed my mind as I was reading it. The novel is VERY character driven but still has great suspense and nice action scenes. The writing is very well done and Katniss Everdeen is a flawed but sympathetic human being that can kick ass. Plus the romance never overshadowed the main plot...like some other stories *cough*twilight*cough*. Verdict: 9/10...or maybe even a 10/10
goNADSgo69
goNADSgo69 at 08:49 PM Mar 25

My only REAL flaw is that I didn't really feel the love between Katniss and Peeta. I mean it felt like he truly loved her, but I just didn't get the sense she loved him...but towards the end the confusion she felt was really well done, because I felt confused too...so this might have all been done on purpose

ONTO THE SEQUEL! =D

sjs41390
sjs41390 at 05:41 AM Mar 26

Awesome, I feel the same way. I loved how the romance was used as their strategy for the games too. Collins was very clever about how she handled it and not gimmicky like Twilight at all. Its so intense and Katniss really is a great heroine.

goNADSgo69
goNADSgo69 at 09:27 AM Mar 26

After letting it sink in, even the "romance" grew on me. I love the fact that the love aspect NEVER became the forefront of everything. Katniss' will to survive was always number one. She is like the ANTI-Bella! =D
The novel gets a 10/10 from me ^_^ I'm already 150 pages into the sequel

Best Movies to Watch Back-to-Back!

Hatchet_2
1. Alien-Aliens (and sometimes I like to add Alien 3 in there!) -- The PERFECT movies to watch back to back in my opinion! Usually I just watch the first two, but I think Alien 3 is very underrated and I like that one as well. Ripley is a perfect character and I love to watch her scared in Alien only to see her become badass in Aliens!
2. 28 Days Later-28 Weeks Later -- Another perfect duo of movies! Scary, intense, character driven, and well acted and SCARY AS FUCK!
3. Cold Prey-Cold Prey 2 - Two of my favorite modern slasher flicks. They're from Norway and the first film is almost perfect while the sequel is a good continuation. The character of Jannicke is one of the best female heroines in a long time and the killer is scary. The characters are developed and while the films are generic they're perfect to watch in a row.
4. Hellraiser-Hellbound: Hellraiser II -- WTF?! That was the first thing to come out of my mouth after seeing these films and I love them both! Each film has great characters and is full of fantastic imagery. The first film is about hell on earth pretty much while the sequel actually delves into Hell!
5. Friday the 13th-Friday the 13th Part II-Friday the 13th Part III-Friday the 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter -- These four films are pretty much just one EPIC slasher film! The first film takes place five years before 2-4, but 2,3,AND 4 ALL take place within the same couple days! An EPIC slasher film ;)
6. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo-The Girl who Played with Fire-The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest - The only non horror series on the list and they're very intelligent films that all lead into one another.
7. Underworld-Underworld: Evolution -- BADASS vampires and BADASS werewolves with lots of suspense, action, and cool characters with gore mixed in. My kind of movies!
8. Rec-Rec 2 -- I found the sequel disappointing, but they're still great to watch back to back, and the ending of Rec 2 is EPIC!
9. Halloween-Halloween II - THE ORIGINALS obviously! The ONLY reason why this film is last is because I never have been a fan of Halloween II. It has never been one of my favorite sequels and I find it boring with a GREAT ending. The hospital setting is spooky but the first film is perfection, hence why this is low on the list. The first film is so perfect but then the sequel was just so boring.
10. Hatchet-Hatchet II -- a lot of people were disappointed by Hatchet II but I actually loved it! The gore was intense and the comedy was toned down and nicely followed the first film!

Skins UK: Ranking the Series!

Skins
1. Series 2 (10/10) - While the first series was amazing, this second series was DOWNRIGHT brilliant! Maxxie became a full developed character and Cassie was still the tragic character. Tony has become a much better person and became a favorite...plus EFFY! I love me some Effy.
2. Series 1 (9/10) - The first episode was pretty terrible, but that episode 2 was WOW! Cassie quickly became my favorite and was heartbreaking. Every character I loved and everyone was interesting and quirky. The storylines were fun and good and overall a great start to a show.
3. Series 5 (8/10) - After the disappointing series 3 and 4, this was a GREAT improvement! The characters were all fun and interesting and the character of Franky is downright AMAZING! Definitely one of my new all time favorite TV characters. The storylines were good and the show was fun, and back to being realistic and never overdid the melodrama. The acting wasn't as good as the first four seasons and it took me a while to warm up to the Alo character. Plus a lot of characters/subplots weren't developed enough for my liking. They were left in the backburner for many episodes like the Matty/Franky relationship. Plus it is implied that someone may like Franky in the season finale and I'd like to see them go with that with Series 6! On a special note: MAJOR props for making Franky a lesbian character even though she dresses/acts like a boy! Nice to not follow a steroeotype =]
4. Series 4 (6/10) - A lot of people find this to be worse than series 3, but at least this series was REALLY interesting. I especially loved the storyline with Effy's sanity! My favorite part of the series...but it only gets a 6/10 because what was once a VERY realistic show has become quite melodramatic and unrealistic. Half the characters are still annoying and boring, but still an impprovement from series 3.
5. Series 3 (5/10) - The first cast change...and wow! Not a terrible series of the show...but it's pretty damn mediocre. The characters were a mixed bunch. Effy, Emily, Naomi, and Freddie were all great and interesting. Cook, JJ, Katie, and Pandora were annoying. And Thomas was damn boring! The storylines were mediocre and just the characters annoyed me. BUT there is one saving grace. The Naomi/Emily storyline! WOW! This was a great love storyline/love story that really effected me.
