Slasher is EASILY one of my alltime favourite shows. Slasher 2: Guilty Party was a fantastic second season that improved on many elements of the first season. The gore was pretty high (and completely practical), the acting was great, the characters were all interesting and well developed. It was well directed, suspenseful, creepy, and actually took me aback with some of the twists. Even the order of deaths shocked me. I thought I knew who'd survive, and I was totally wrong. My only issue is the handling of the LGBT characters this season. We had three: a gay man and a lesbian were married (I was confused by this), and then the other gay character ended up being a rapist (I won't give away who). Plus the finale didn't feel complete. The first season had a great ending chase scene and had a wonderful fight between final girl and killer. I felt this second season was lacking that.

Ranking the Final Destination Movies

Fd5_2
1. Final Destination (8/10) - Scary, brutal, suspenseful, smart, witty, and even a bit funny in parts. The acting is great and the characters are likable and Death always feels presnet.
2. Final Destination 5 (8/10) - In my opinion this film is EQUAL to the first film. It's scary, funny, and is the only sequel to bring suspense and scares back into the game. The opening disaster is one that NEEDS to be seen and the the deaths are damn brilliant with a likable and appealing cast.
3. Final Destination 2 (7/10) - Fun, gory, hilarious, and has big balls with a likable lead and an AWESOME car pile up! My sole flaw: there was no suspense and it wasn't scary enough for my liking and that creepy atmosphere present in the first film is gone.
4. Final Destination 3 (5/10) - A mediocre, but entertaining film with a likable lead and some nice gore. But most of the characters are annoying and the characters are so badly written it makes some of the actors seem bad. But the film is never boring and Winstead is a great actress and her character was actually the only likable and well-written one.
5. Final Destination 4 (3/10) - And this is where the series REALLY fucked up. This film is just bad. The acting is terrible and there is not ONE likable character. The gore is OVERLY CGI-ed to the point it's ridiculous and the deaths aren't that good. Even the opening premonition was lame. Its a quick movie that is never boring with some good-looking leads, a quick pace, a cool scene in a car wash and a demented sense of humor.

I'm starting to think I MIGHT agree. I'm rewatching the first one today, and I think I might have liked FD5 just a tiny bit more...but I still don't know.
