This is a good day for me. It’s the day that my students hand in their films. The stress is lifted but most importantly I get to be surprised and impressed by what they have done. They’ll all between 15 and 17 and for many of them this is the first major production they’ve worked on.
It’s astounding how many of them look like professional films. It’s awesome how creative they are. Most importantly it’s amazing how much they can have an impact on a cynical old basterd like me. One had a particularly striking visual style that is very cool.
The best thing about getting older is finding out of the next generation has in store for you.
