Plot: After everyone on Earth simultaneously blacks out and experiences a vision of their future, the FBI attempt to unravel the mystery.
Review: You know the only reason this show exists was because ABC needed another Lost. Still, surely they'd put effort into the ridiculously built up show with an interesting premise, right?
The pilot was strong, asked a lot of good questions and set up the series rather effectively. One problem: THE GODDAMN SHOW HAD NO FUCKING DIRECTION. Not one question ever asked in the show ever got answered. They just kept teasing us with mystery after mystery, forcing you to come back week after week with the promise of answers. Lost managed to not only answer a FEW questions, but they had good characters and genuine drama to keep the viewers interested. FlashForward had neither. The characters were forgettable and the plot was drama free.
There's also plot holes galore. In one episode, an FBI agent discovers that his young daughter had a vision that relates to a case he's working. Now of course, any father in this situation would be very concerned and would want to make sure that their daughter is okay. Not this one, oh no. He drops it completely and forgets it ever happened, leaving his young daughter scarred for life. Not to mention a woman has a vision that she is pregnant only we later discover that she is a lesbian.
The one good thing I can say about the show is that it was mercifully short lived. It's just an awful, awful show and it proves that David S. Goyer has no luck when he's not writing Batman. Whatever you do, do not watch this piss stain on television.
