I haven't seen this movie in at least 12 years, maybe more. With all that, this is about as perfect a comedy as a zany, energetic send-up monster film sequels do get. Seriously, it sends up the first one, is funnier, moves at a better pace, and seeing the ADD one fling food at Phoebe Cates is amusing. The boss' turn near the end of the movie is hilarious and is part of the fun. Anything can, and probably will happen here. The animatronics still look great, and when the gremlins eat the film of the movie we're watching, I've lost it.
I'm saying it's better. Much, much better.
Alsom I'd say it's a bit unfair to compare the two, as their goals are vastly different. Gremlins 2's goal is to be so over the top it's hilarious, and at said goal, it accomplishes that goal while being damn well executed, and thus, for the kind of film it is, it is perfect.

Hey I like Gremlins 2, but a 10/10 rating is something I reserve for something on the level of say FIGHT CLUB. You're saying that Gremlins 2 is as good as FIGHT CLUB!? @_o
