Holy damn! It is soo good and genuiely creepy, and very smart. I do not get studios; they had something this refreshing and scary, but chose to virtualy ignore, whilst absolute crap, such as Halloween 2 is allowed a mega-wide release. WTF? For every cliche the movie hits, and it does hit a few, it takes them and subverts them in very unexpected ways; that was my faovrite part of the film- The intertwining stories never ended up how I expected them to. All the actors, especially Dylan Baker, are great, and to give you an idea about how smart it is, a 11/12 year old is talking to an 8 year old, and he calls one girl a "retard", she corrects him saying the girl is an "idiot savant". Honestly, how many movies would have even bother to do that, much less with kids? Several more fun and neat twists and lines of dialogue appear throughout, but if I go into more detail I am deathly afraid of ruining it for the folks who have yet to see it.
