Based on a 10-minute play, then a full length one, then a 10 minute movie, this hyper-kinetic, insane, over-the-top opera (it goes beyond musical to being an opera with less than 10 lines simply said) is an experience everyone needs to have, but not everyone will like. The songs range wildly from ballad to hard rock to synth pop, but all fit the humorous mood quite well, while the cast is clearly hamming it up all the way. The opening comic style keeps throughout, and everyone is quite good and no one can't sing; including the heiress of stupid, Paris Hilton, who can sing and act in this crazy hodge-podge movie. The movie's tone is manic but it works, and by the time Sarah Brightman (as in the number one selling soprano of all time) and her digital eyes barge in, this becomes something more. A visceral experience that does not care what you think, and is original enough to warrant it's attitude.

Good review! I love this movie!
