So there's a news report that came out today that revealed that contracts were given by the city of Montreal to a construction company that turned out to be run by the mafia. It was also revealed that said company had personal contacts with one of the directors of the city responsible for the district the project was in. Said director was fired and now works for the promotor of this project (who in turn is connected to the company i.e. the mafia AND was in jail for 3 years in 2000). Why am I writing about this? because that promotor was my old boss and that director took over my old job. AND THIS HAPPENED ONE MONTH AFTER I LEFT THAT JOB! talk about timing!

Another phenomenal episode of Game of Thrones last night (a big FUCK YEAH to that final scene). Mad Men was great in the weirdest way possible, like only Mad Men can do in these types of episodes. Veep continues its hilarious streak. What a perfectly cast comedy.
This is why the April-May-June Sunday nights are the best nights of TV of the year!

Happythankyoumoreplease = 6.5/10. Decent movie, good performances, nice script, good music, an interesting ending and oh good lord Kate Mara looked fantastic in this! Final verdict: Good rental
akerman was actually really good in this...except for her weird hair cap/false bald head. but all in all i can see how you can love it that much. there are some touching moments. im sure if i revisit it at some point and i will enjoy it even more
Yeah. It didn't do anything groundbreaking but was just a very well directed and well acted movie that actually made me feel things. I can't wait for Josh Radnor's new film next year Liberal Arts. I have no clue what it's about but this one got me excited for him as a writer/director.

First job interview went pretty well. Now comes the waiting game to see if i get a call back or not
yeha i hope so too. unemployment has been fun for watching movies/tv and working out but now it's time to get back in it. WAnd if it doesn't work out, well i got two more interviews next week!

Just received a package from UPS containing Wilco's ridiculously great new album The Whole Love, Mastodon's sure be be ass kicking new album The Hunter and Richard Castle's (yeah THAT Ricjard Castle) Derrick Storm graphic novel Death Storm. Then, I get a call for a job interview tomorow. And finally, we get our first win of the ball hockey season (Go Younglboods!) Yeahm i'd say it was a pretty good day

As great as the Walking Dead blu-ray is, the special features are terrible. Just a bunch of generic press kit-esque featurettes. a bit dispaointing. at least the episodes are fucking awesome

Everytime I start debating whether or not they are my favorite band ever, I just start one of their songs at random and it makes me realize that yes in fact, THE HIVES are my favorite band of all time!
Haven't listened to anything after Tyrannosaurs Hives, but they are indeed an underrated rock gem.
The Black and White album is probably their best album! you need to check it out

Can't wait to watch Terra Nova, How I Met Your Mother (really excited where the special appearance at the end of the episode takes the show!), Hawaii 5-0 (like the new more intense turn it took with that first episode of the season) AND Castle (perfect way to finish the evening).

Family Huy was a decent episode (a few great gags but mostly okay), Boardwalk Empire was just as it left off which is excellent. Now, to give Pan-Am a shot

Family Guy was meh and I liked Boardwalk.
I thought Pan Am was decent. Entertaining and well made from a production design stanpoint. The thing that bugged me about it was the same thing that Playboy Club did. You have this show that clearly wants to be a cool, 60's vibe show à la Mad Men but then they throw in these weird unnecessary storylines (the mobster murder and political corruption in Playboy and they G-Men recruting flight attendants in this one) that don't really fit with the show. Do they want the show to be a light and fluffy show with a cool vibe or do they want to be this seriosu show with a kind of dark storyline that takes you away from the world they tried so hard to recreate. It's a light, fun show mostly and enjoyable. nice way to pass an hour

Nice afternoon going to see Lion King 3D with my girlfriend and her 6 year old niece. seeing that little adorable 6 year old go crazy and laugh during the whole movie is a great bonus while watching a phenomenal movie!
