Review:

I very much enjoyed Kill Bil: Vol. 1, infact I loved it with it's absurd amount of blood and limb loss. The non-linear storyline that worked so well for Pulp Fiction, jumping forwards and backwards, does work wonderfully for this film also. A tale of revenge, The Bride (Uma Thurman) sets out to kill her would be murderers one by one, and eventually to Kill Bill. The film has a strong violent tone but that didn't bother me, I Ioved all the crazy samurai sword play.

The film is beautifully shot, really colourful and the unexpected animated sequence was really fantastic. Add to that a perfect soundtrack that seem to accompany every Tarantino flick, Kill Bill has got it goin' on!
Lead by a strong female cast, Uma Thurman hits ultimate badass status in this, and has put The Bride up there on my favorite female characters list. Lucy Liu was a top villian and that girl, Gogo, holy fuck she was creepy but in a good way.

Not Tarantino's best, Pulp Fiction will the no doubt always have that title, but KILL BILL gets damn close. And feel sorry for those who had to wait for the next installment after that cliffhanger. I can jump straight into Vol. 2
