I'm reading Kevin Smith's book Tough Shit and there is a whole chapter on the difficulty he had making Cop Out. I had only heard some tidbits about it previous and how Bruce Willis was a pain to work with and after reading all this all I can say is WOW, Bruce Willis is kind of a douchebag.
@Terminal Smith does take some of the blame. He's admitted that he did it for the wrong reasons on his podcast
Len Wiseman tried to warn Kevin that Bruce has an ego and so would all these other big stars. Kevin didn't have the killer instinct he needed to handle Bruce.
Bruce was a pain cause Kevin didn't know how to handle him.
@VitaminMan8: Good. I've heard too many people make excuses for him since that fiasco.
Kevin laid down a lot of that experience that in Too Fat For 40. Note to self: never mention "Moonlightning" to Bruce's face.
I still need to pick this book up, but have heard Smith tell the Willis story twice and it was verbatim both times (the whole Moonlighting scene)....Agree that from Smith's side it sounds like Willis is a bit of a prick.
