I just watched Iron Man once again as part of my Avengers countdown marathon. I don't think I've ever really given this movie the credit it deserves. It's so much fun and RDJ is just fantastic as Tony Stark.

I'm so grateful that RDJ is the man behind my favorite hero. I remember the days before the IM film, those were dark, dark days for ol' Shellhead - rotting away as a B-level hero.

Not due to lack of interest, but because there's either been no time or that I've been on a major Simpsons kick for the past few weeks. I haven't bought any movies in about 2 months or so, so I went a little nutty yesterday at Best Buy and picked up: The Mission Impossible Trilogy Boxset, MI: Ghost Protocol, Melancholia, Another Earth, Run Lola Run, and New Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow all on Blu-Ray! Woot!

Depends on your price range....The Westin Harbour Castle is right downtown and a decent hotel (walking distance to Convention Center)

The Raid: Redemption was about an 11.5 out of 10 on the violence scale. The film overall though was about an 8.5/10 for me personally. Everything was great, I just would have preferred a little more background as to the "why" and the "who".

It's going to be hard to top The Cabin in the Woods for my movie of the year. Go in knowing nothing if you can help it. I guarantee you that you'll have one hell of a time with this one.
