The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 is probably the best animated Bat-film I've seen since Mask of the Phantasm.
I still have to give the nod to Under The Red Hood, but TDKR 1 & 2 are indeed high-ranking on the list.
Under the Red Hood was my favorite until I saw TDKR. That second part was so violent and true to form. I loved it. Both films are high points for the animated film franchise of the Bat.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters was so much stupid fun and I loved every minute of it! It's so relieving to see popular actors take the time to make something silly and not take themselves too seriously. Two thumbs way up for this one!

I watched Frankenweenie the other night. It certainly had its moments and I enjoyed it overall but I did find it to be a bit slow despite the short run time.
You know what was it? The kid's voice, for all the spark found in sparky, the kid was devoid of all feelings, and I understand that may be the point if you look at their faces but some sort of emotions would be nice. Also the animal mutations came out of nowhere but once suspension of disbelief came through it was a fun 3rd act

Also, I watched Supergirl and Crocodile Dundee last night for no apparent reason at all.
I remember watching Supergirl when I was a kid because it was vaguely connected to Superman and because I wanted to violate Helen Slater. That movie is wretched.

So I've been watching some movies lately. I finally saw The Hobbit and really enjoyed it. I also got to check out Hotel Transylvania which, surprisingly, I really liked a lot. It was often times hilarious and the character designs were sleek and stylish. If you ask me it's the best think Sandler and crew have put forth in a VERY long time.
yup, Hobbit is f'ing awesome.
and I've been curious about Hotel. Haven't found Sandler funny in years but this seems like a really fun flick. i will definetly check it out

Heading out to Canada tomorrow morning but I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year and share that one of my resolutions in the new year is to come back to MFC in a more frequent capacity starting in 2013. Be safe and have fun!
