just watched "Our Idiot Brother". Definitly one of my favorite of the year. Laughed throughout.
watched 3 flicks yesterday; "Ali G Indahouse" kindof funny sometiems, was funny to see a young Martin Freeman as a wangster. "Jackass 3", really bummed I missed it in 3D, good to see the gang back together, huge laughs, Johnny Knoxville is the man. "Tucker and Dale vs Evil" very funnny and enjoyable horror comedy, great twist on the genre with a focus on characters.
then one day his brother died

watched "Heathers" for the first time. Thank you netflix instant. Winona Ryder, whoah. Good stuff.
just finshed the blu ray Ultimate Cut of Watchmen. great stuff.
i can still remember back in 1997, when Starship Troopers came out in theatres. I wanted to see it wicked bad and so did my friend. We were trying to convince my friends parents to buy us tickets since we were 10 years old at the time, they said they would, once they saw the film first... They went to the earlier show, and promptly came back and said we were not allowed to see it because of its graphic violence and sex. My friends mother said it was disgusting with brain sucking and body parts torn off. Of course this made me want to see it even more. Had to wait til it came to video, but damn, I loved that movie.
holy fudge cakes, "Eden Lake" was freaking brutal, emotionally and physically. damn. I need a chaser after that one.
based on Andrew Stanton's previous work such as the amazing visual storytelling of Wall-E, and fantastic writing of the Toy Story films, I beleive "John Carter" will be pretty darn good.
unless the whole movie is about this guy: http://carter.house.gov/
just watched the 2010 independant vampire flick "Stake Land". Fantastic! One of the best vampire movies ever made.
caught the blu ray of the new "Fright Night". had a lot of fun with the movie. Definitly recommended.
saw a 35mm print of "Alien" at the IFC Centre the other night, so amazing.
