The M.F.C. COMMUNITY LISTS are the aggregate TOP 20 LISTS of all participating MOVIE FAN CENTRAL members, each of whom have the ability to create their own personal COMMUNITY LISTS featuring different sections like FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL-TIME or FAVORITE DIRECTOR, and all of which, when averaged out, will result in the M.F.C. COMMUNITY LISTS which you can see below (continually updated). The mechanics behind the process are simple.

As a member, you would click on the TOP 10s in your PROFILE, than choose EDIT YOUR COMMUNITY LISTS so that you can enter/edit your own picks for each list (of which there are currently 15). For example, if you entered FIGHT CLUB as your #1 pick for any category, that film would get 20 points toward its ranking on the M.F.C. COMMUNITY LISTS. If you chose GOODFELLAS as your #2 pick, that film would be awarded 19 points toward its ranking on the M.F.C. COMMUNITY LISTS and so on and so forth, all the way down to your 20th pick (that choice would receive 1 point). If you only choose to enter your top 5, then obviously only those films will be awarded points. Each member’s picks would be added to the overall calculation for the M.F.C. COMMUNITY LISTS, so the more members fill in their lists, the more interesting the lists become.

As you change your minds over the weeks, months and years to come (you can edit your lists at anytime), so will the changes of your own lists affect the evolution of the M.F.C. COMMUNITY LISTINGS. Nobody is forced to fill out their COMMUNITY LISTS sections or every single category encompassed within those lists, but just like in real life, EVERY VOTE COUNTS, so if you want to participate in naming the best and coolest movie-related categories of all-time…don’t just sit there reading this shit, click on TOP 10s and start entering!
