PROS:
+ fantastic practical effects/costumes/sets/props just like the first movie
+ some solid doses of classic Flintstones-style humour
CONS:
- just feels so unneeded not only in concept (we don't need a prequel) but also seeing as none of the original cast returned (which could've worked with a prequel angle but it really doesn't seem like the characters are THAT much younger here so it just feels like a lame recast rather than much younger actors playing much younger versions of the characters, which actually could've worked)
- the humour isn't as strong as it was in the original as a whole
- story feels pretty second rate
OVERALL:
it feels like a direct to video worthy movie (cast and story wise) but with a big budget production value that comes through with the sets, costumes, etc. Still as well done as that aspect is the movie just falls flat, it feels forced, unneeded and in a word a bit lame. Not recommended.

^Psycho, you mean you didn't find her attractive when they replaced the smokin hot betty (pun intended) cartoon version, with the ugly, loud mouth, fat dyke version?

At least Betty was hotter this time.
