PROS:
+ fantastic cast (Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Ray Winstone, Michael Shannon, 50 Cent, David Zayas, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Alexander Skarsgård)
+ cool concept
CONS:
- atrocious score (awkward and all over the place in terms of style and it never fits with anything, just bad)
- bad direction makes everything feel a lot cheaper than it is and hinders any real potential tension there could've been
- bad editing
- bland to full on bad writing
OVERALL:
at one early point during the movie it wades through so bad it's good territory. Unfortunately it doesn't stay there for long and just gets worse and worse, blander by the minute. The movie is not only dull but it is dumb as hell with a ton of plot holes and logic issues. This has to be one of the great mysteries in film in the last decade as to how a movie this bad got a cast this good to sign on. Maybe they just read the concept, which is admittedly neat, and skipped reading the actual script, who knows. All I know is that when the movie ends it's apparent that the morale of the story is clearly 'you should've lived in Canada'. Not recommended.

^ with the concept and that cast I couldn't help myself... but damn dude, you were being nice when you said it sucked!
As you know I worship at the altar of The Stath but this movie licked balls. the worst thing about it was actually Michael Shannon and the stupid Over the top shouting. Just so dumb. Jesus, i gave it 6/10? I was being fair.

I tried to tell you this film sucked, and you didn't believe me.
