CONS:
- hit and miss special effects, you can tell they sunk a lot of money into them but a lot of them look very obviously CG
- annoying technical issues (why does almost everyone have perfectly manicured eyebrows, perfect skin, perfect dreadlocks and blazing white teeth?)
- just a badly written script not only in terms of the uninteresting story and characters you just can't care for, but the near laughable dialog as well
- unexciting action sequences
OVERALL:
you know a movie isn't good when the review skips right over Pros and just goes straight to Cons. I really wanted to like this movie, really wanted to find something to like but there just wasn't anything. Hell, I actually like Roland Emmerich and have enjoyed more than a few of his movies, but wow... just wow. This is pretty damn horrible, especially considering how cool the concept of Mammoths and Sabretooth Tigers are, yet they totally didn't do anything interesting with it and the result is a bland, boring, bad movie. Not recommended.

I never like to jump on a hate bandwagon..but this film truly was a piece of shit..I wish I could get the hours back
I went to see this movie for Steven Strait because I had a huge crush on him.

mos def one of the worst films i've ever seen.
