PROS:

+ gorgeous cinematography and visuals
+ great special effects, though used sparingly
+ fantastic acting across the board
+ a fantastic ensemble cast all do great jobs at filling out these great, memorable, unique characters' personalities that really make the audience feel and understand each of the characters on an emotional level

CONS:

- the music feels a bit overdone and did start get on my nerves a bit
- could've been tightened up a bit, a little too slow in a couple places
- the sex scene seemed weird, like a joke from the Justine character (yet it was later revealed to actually be real sex)

OVERALL:

while not as good as Lars von Trier's previous effort, Antichrist, it is still a great movie. After initially seeing it I came out thinking it was 'good' but upon letting it sink in it really felt like something special looking back, with a little time it became clear that it really was a great movie. There's just such a uniqueness and beauty to it all, even with all the chaos and disorder. Highly recommended.
