I could not give a shit if a movie gets booed for 10 minutes straight OR if it gets a standing ovation for 10 minutes, Cannes or anywhere else. The only thing I care about and the only thing anyone should care about is whether or not they themselves are cheering or booing, literally or figuratively, after they see it for themselves. Just because people boo the movie doesn't mean it's gonna suck, and just because people applaud the movie doesn't mean it's gonna rock. The only people who should care about the majority opinion is the producers and director, for awards and box office and all that, but hey it's been proven numerous times that any press truly is good press, tons of movies have been slammed by critics and have done really well at the box office, and tons of movies have been critically acclaimed and have bombed. It's all up in the air for them until the numbers come in, and it's all up in the air for everyone else until we're finished seeing the damned thing for ourselves
