Saw THE ROAD last night. It was one of the most powerful films I've seen in a long, long time. Why has it not gotten more awards attention? Viggo should be nominated for Best Actor at the very least. In a world where we've got TEN Best Picture nominees, I refuse to believe THE BLIND SIDE deserved a spot over THE ROAD.

I just ordered the Special Edition of The Mist. Anyone seen the black and white version of the flick? Better? Worse? Very keen to see it.
No, I haven't. But I'd love to watch THE MIST in black and white. I read somewhere that Frank Darabont originally planned to release the film in black and white (not sure if this is true). Anyway, I thought the film was great, and I really need to buy it on Blu-Ray soon.

Apparently in his introduction to the movie on the DVD, Darabont explains that he wanted to release it without colour as a homage to 50's B-movies (but obviously the studio wouldn't let him) so it should be considered his Director's Cut of the film. So I'm really curious.
The ending of the movie still haunts me... that music... *shiver*

I know! I was also wondering where Han was... weird. This was the point in the movie where I knew that I'd be buying it on DVD... so great.

Got a bachelor party tomorrow night, wish my liver luck. Movie on Sunday though, I'm thinking it's between (500) Days of Summer, Invictus, Paranormal Activity or 2012. I know 2012 is going to be shit... so why do I still feel compelled to see it? Damn you Roland Emmerich!
Most of these films seem sort of depressing right after a bachelor party. lol Enjoy! Don't let the night get too much like The Hangover.

Just watched the World Cup draw, which was actually taking place five minutes from my place. Charlize Theron was helping the FIFA guy read the results... I know she was born here, but she's about as South African as Mel Gibson is Australian. If I asked her to name the president she'd probably reply, "Morgan Freeman".
