Review:

This was suppose to be Antoine Fuqua's return to Training Day and doesn't even come close. It also seems to try and be a cop movie version of Crash and can't even cut that. Honostly this movie feels like it tries too hard to be something its not. And the supposingly climatic ending isnt climatic at all and ends up being quite stupid. So is there anything good about this movie? Well theres the cast which has Wesley Snipes doing a nice return, Don Cheadle in one of his best performances too bad I can't say anything like that for the movie, and Richard Gere in one his more traditional roles. As for Ethan Hawke, he just felt like he was just there to serve as a reminder for Training Day and all he does is gives a depressing performance as an agonizing cop. Some of the drama elements were played out well but they never add up to too much for us to care about. This is honostly one of Antonie Fuqua's low points and it feels like its someone else directing and ripping off elements from his better movies.
