These devout "fuck anyone who isn't a white Christian" rednecks really piss me off.
Live and let live, I think. I'm a non-believer myself and I respect the beliefs of anyone and everyone, but there are certain lines you just don't cross. A good example being the followers of Westboro Baptist Church.
^^I agree and people like that group *cough* Westboro are putting a bad image for the world.
Same example applies to that Florida Church that plans to burn copies of the Quran. That's pretty fucking awful.
Thank you! I feel the exact same about the Quran situation and all I've heard, leaving out the racial comments, has been "Why are you defending them? Don't you remember what they did to us on 9/11?"
They've been swarming all over my facebook and apparently saying anything other than "I agree with you" makes me an accomplice to terrorism. It's really ridiculous.
I felt pretty uncomfortable near some of these guys. I went out to see Animal Kingdom a couple of weeks ago and the theater is an arthouse theater not far from the national mall. Lo and behold, I went out on the same day as Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally and saw many of these people walking up while I was heading down. I can swear I was on the receiving end of some dirty looks of some people wearing the flag from head to toe.
Looks like Pastor Jones has canceled the Quran burning. Who plans to burn them now? Westboro Baptist Church, of course. I'm actually kind of surprised this group has lasted this long considering the picketing of soldier's funerals and hate-filled protests they're so well known for.
People are so judgmental these days.
