A movie inclined friend was actually BETA testing the site and sent me the invite. Been tooling around for awhile and its actually quite neat. Not very social, more like a way to keep track of what you see, what you like and keep your collection organized which is nice. Officially spectating at the Walking Dead Escape during SDCC, hoping for some good photo opportunities! In other events, I saw Prometheus again and despite what a lot of people are saying it really held up for me and I was able to get a little more clarity than the first time around.

Saw Brave this morning and can't recommend it enough! The story is a little different than expected, the animation is simply GORGEOUS(I saw it in xd 3d) and definitely another home run for Pixar. Its not what they are known for but definitely a great addition to their body of work. Oh and Merida's hair deserves an Oscar :)

^^ If/when you two see it, you'll have to let me know what you thought! Even if you don't love the story, I'm sure you'll come away saying how amazing it looks. There are scenes where she and other characters, look all too real. Normally I'm not impressed by 3D but in this case it really added depth to the film in a good way that enhanced water, nature and other elements.

When I do that I usually end up not watching anything, or going with a Disney or Muppet movie lol I don't have to pay attention if I so choose and I can sing along. Tonight might be a Goofy Movie kind of night lol

Read some more about "Savages" and can't decide if I want to bother. Some of what Oliver Stone has done is quite good and then on the flip side just awful! I read the book which is really good and I just can't wrap my head around Blake Lively, she's flat in everything but keeps getting cast! What am I missing?

They ended up giving me a free pass, which I used for The Spongebob Squarepants Movie. True story.

I thought Lively was good in The Town and I can imagine whoever had a hand in casting probably thought O was similar enough to that type of character, but more like a higher class version of it.

I had completely forgotten she was even in the Town! Now that I think about it, I guess O is a similar role but not nearly as trashy and without having to put on a terrible accent. I've heard the rest of the cast is quite good so once a real review comes out I'll decide.

My geeky heart is all a-glow, just got Newsies on Blu-Ray, personally my favorite Christian Bale role aside from Laurie in Little Women. Had such a crush on him in these two movies when I was a kid!

Organizing my SDCC trip is getting annoying!! We didn't get tickets to the convention but finding things to do hasn't been difficult, just getting everyone to agree is difficult! Anyone from the MFC participating/watching the Walking Dead Escape at Petco Park?

^they usually have some very cool stuff at Petco Park during SDCC. This DOES look fun but I don't know if I'll be paying for it... he man party on the other hand, it's right up my alley.

@randychico....Agreed, it would be nice if it was free but since we're not paying for a hotel or SDCC tickets, its not a huge expense. I'm mostly curious to see the course, and the make up since the actual Walking Dead team is doing everything. The He-Man party is going on Friday at Hennessey's Tavern in the gas lamp district. My boyfriend is involved with He-man.org and does a lot of customs for fun so its mainly his deal and I'm just being dragged along lol

It's bittersweet for sure because while I like her I thought the gal they originally cast (Bill's sire from True Blood) would have KILLED this part. Would have loved to have seen her in this show.

I saw that she was originally cast and thought that would have been a much better fit. The other cast is disastrous so I don't know if she could have carried the entire show on her own but she would have matched the "look" better.

Saw Prometheus this morning and can't express how much I enjoyed it!!! I can see why its going to disappoint some and really impress others. It is by no means perfect but its gorgeous, scary, confusing, alarming, intense and an Alien franchise geeks perfect addition to the legacy! GO SEE IT(multiple times lol)

TV took a cue from the MFC and various cable channels are holding Alien franchise marathons throughout the day. They're a little late to the party! And be warned, some of them are including Alien Resurrection.
