blankpage at 08:19 PM Sep 02

Thank you both for the kind words.

@Desh: I didn't fall in love with "True Grit" like many others did, but it's still a pretty damn good film. Which speaks volumes about the Coen Brothers as it's closer to the bottom of my rankings.

@timmyd: Yeah, "Miller's Crossing" grew on me after a couple viewings. Wasn't a fan initially. I know it's got some die hard fans out there though.

Dr.Frankenstein
Dr.Frankenstein at 04:50 AM Aug 23

Everything he does pretty much rules. I'm anxious for more info on his alleged "Gods and Kings" project. IF unlike Ridley Scott (thus far),gets the deets right this time. All his Indy films + 1. 5. 6. 7. 9. and "War of the Worlds" are some Spielberg faves of mine. "Lincoln" should be great this December too.

blankpage
blankpage at 08:52 PM Aug 23

Really excited for Lincoln. I know it's been a passion project of The Beard's for quite some time...and THAT CAST!

But yeah, the man is still my all-time favourite filmmaker. I can't even bring myself to fully dislike "1941" and "Crystal Skull". He defined my childhood/teenage years and is the reason I've been an aspiring filmmaker for most of my life.
