Gonna head to my Grandpa's in a bit to watch a Marx Brothers marathon. We do this every few months and I always look forward to it. We start off with "The Marx Brothers: Silver Screen Collection", which is "Duck Soup", "Horse Feathers", "The Cocoanuts", "Animal Crackers" and "Monkey Business". Then we take a break and finish it up with "A Night at the Opera", "Room Service", "A Day at the Races" and "At the Circus". Yeah it's a lot of movies to watch, but we start pretty early in morning so it gives us a lot of time to watch them all. Such a good time too with my Grandpa.
About to put in "Murder By Death". Absolutely hilarious. I remember the first time I watched it, I was about 11 or 12 and I didn't get a lot of the humor. But a few years back when I bought the DVD, I couldn't believe how funny it was. So underrated......
Picked up "Big Trouble in Little China" on Blu-Ray the other day. Jack Burton in 1080p is like seeing Jesus in person. It's glorious.
Very true Brew. Have the other 2 on DVD as well. My bro has the Blu-Ray of "The Thing" and said it's awesome. I know Escape New York can only be bought if you get the UK release though. But all 3 are great if you want to have a "Carpenter Marathon".
yeah i think its weird how they release these films at different times or years around the world. All 3 films are available here ive got em.Someone has already posted that Pulp Fiction is out here(Aussie) but not in North America(Got IT).But there are heaps that we don't have.I thought it was weird that when i tried to put some of my Blu-Rays on to the site it wouldn't accept them at Blu-Rays but that explains it.
Yeah Brew, it is weird that Blu-rays aren't released at the same time. It would be different if it was a few weeks or so, but 6 months or even a year or two. What's up with that? But you would think that even though a Blu-ray isn't available in the U.S. or Canada and you guys have it, that you could still put it on here cuz there was a Blu-ray release for it. Oh well, looks like some North American biased shit to me, my friend. hahaha.
Damn I gotta get some sleep. Hoped that by watching a "Bogie & Bacall" marathon, I would get a lil tired. Not happening!!!! These meds really, really blow. I'm all starring at the walls like Mike from "The Blair Witch Project".
If you ever think about becoming involved in "Human trafficking", do yourself a favor and watch "Taken" w/ Liam Neeson. The thought of him coming after you, should quickly erase the thought of getting involved in that line of work. Haha.
Anyone see the new Alice in Wonderland movie? My 8 year old niece really wants to see it. But if it sucks, I won't even bother.
i enjoyed it,a 8 year old will love it.Give her a treat man and take her.
Thanks bro. Now that you said she would enjoy it, I'm gonna take her after school on monday. I was a lil concerned that she might not get Tim Burton's sense of "Style" because she's never seen any of his other flicks. She and I both love the original Disney animated film and didn't want her to be disappointed. Thanks again for the input.
Picked up "The Hurt Locker" and "The Boondock Saints ll: All Saints Day" on Blu-Ray today. "The Hurt Locker" is such a great movie. But within a few months I've heard people say it went from being an underrated and rarely seen movie, to everyone has seen it and the most overrated film of the year.
It wasn't Bane that broke Batman's back. It was the man they call "Bigness".

first i love the Marx Bros,2nd i think that is such a cool thing to do with your Grandpa.
