Ha ha ha Wow, one guy throws a sled at a police car and the commissioner automatically knows that the police can't handle the chaos that the city is experiencing. It's a good thing they have the Bat-signal ready when they know it.
It's probably the point when Gordon starts to descend into bumbling idiocy. Just goes into overdrive once the Schumacher movies kick in.
If nothing else, the best thing the Nolan movies have done is bring the real Jim Gordon to life. Batman's true ally on the right side of the law.

Ah, good ol' Christopher Walken as Max Shreck. Apparently according to one of the DVD documentaries, Burton didn't want to cast Walken because, get this, he was scared of someone as subtly crazy as Walken is. But that is why was perfect for the role.
He was scared of Jack Palance on the first film too.
Sounds like he nearly shat his pants.

I love that it's been 20 years and it's still somewhat surreal to see Paul Reubens in a Batman movie. Then again as some people know the Penguin's father was supposed to be played by the original Penguin, Burgess Meredith. But he got sick and couldn't do it. Ah, what could have been.

I'm about to watch 'Batman Returns' due to the 20th Anniversary of the movie and if you schmoes don't mind, I going to doing some commentary a la Derek237. Here we go.

@Cochise: As usual you suck at facts. Superman Returns made just as much as Batman Begins did at the box office.
@Terminal - jesus christ man you've got to be one of the most unfriendly, judgmental and offensive people I've ever met. Come on already, you could've just said what do you mean by that instead of calling me out and telling me I suck.
I put moderate in 'quotes' because it was a success, but not as big of one as the studio was expecting, not even doubling it's budget -- where as Begins as you can see doubled it's budget in box office and them some.
