Well, today I finally did it. I bought a Playstation 3. I'm currently exploring the internet on it right now. Oh, and the game I picked up with it is 'Lego Batman 2'.

Though it would be nice to know, I like that we never find out what happened to Catwoman after this movie. I mean, all of the other villains were either killed by Batman (I know, I know, he's not supposed to do that because of the comics, but hey what are you going to do.) or rotting in Arkham Asylum. I think they were supposed to address this in that awful Catwoman movie but they didn't when Michelle Pfeiffer turned down the role in the movie, so they made up a new character and storyline.

He definitely murdered people in the 1st film, but in RETURNS I like to think that the guy he set on fire actually survived somehow. And technically he didn't kill the big fat guy, the bomb did. ^_^

The only two things BATMAN & ROBIN did that the none of the previous movies did that I liked, were that the villains didn't die and neither of them learned Batman's true identity. Other than that, the movie's a joke of course. A really, really bad one at that...

I could be wrong, but are they having the masquerade ball at Shreck's department store/building, the same one that Catwoman blew up earlier in the movie? Constancy, what's that?
YoshioKun13
YoshioKun13 at 05:39 PM Jun 23

Either they cleaned that shit up real quick or, it's a different Shreck building.

Penguin brings up a good point/"plothole". Why do those people have cabbage and tomatoes with them when they are at Penguin's press conference/speech? They were there to support him but when its revealed that he's evil, they just happen to have their vegetables on standby to throw at him.

Burton's Gotham was so old-fashioned. They still had newsboys yelling "extra, extra!" There was probably some street vendors with some old produce too.

YoshioKun13
YoshioKun13 at 05:33 PM Jun 23

Burton's been doing satire throughout the entire movie, and now by this point it's being self-aware. Meta, even.

@cerealkiller182 - Yes, Burton's 2 Batman flicks are pretty old-timey like something from the 1930's or 40's. Retro, which is something I love and a big element they carried over into the classic TAS.

"Eat floor. High fiber." Holy chessy one-liner, Batman.
YoshioKun13
YoshioKun13 at 05:31 PM Jun 23

Hey, far better than any of the ones in the next 2 movies IMO.

BigEvil84 updated his STATUS: 11 months ago

Huh, Catwoman stabs Batman in the center of his stomach with her claws in one scene but in the next scene Batman pulls out the "claw" from his side. I guess the assistant director or someone must shot that scene wrong or something.
YoshioKun13
YoshioKun13 at 05:30 PM Jun 23

It's not really clear where she stabbed him to me, the cut is very swift. But yeah, I always thought that was off too.

You know they never explain in the movie why the Penguin has all of those umbrellas other than the fact that he has them in the comic books. Weird.
YoshioKun13
YoshioKun13 at 05:19 PM Jun 23

I don't know either. In the comics I guess he had weird fetish for umbrellas since his mother collected them.

Wait a minute, how the hell was that poodle able to catch that batarang? It was hitting Penguin's henchmen in the face and yet we are supposed to buy that the dog jumped 5 or 6 feet to catch it. Give me a break.

I love Tim Burton's little nod to Ed Wood, Jr. when the Penguin accidentally tilts a tombstone when he visiting his parents grave.
