Why do minivans have a bad rap?

I am confused. I noticed that minivans have a really bad rap. People hate them just because they're not "Cool" or "sporty" or anything like that. What is up with that? Who cares if they are cool or not? I don't. I care about how useful they are and they have almost a magical way of making life and car rides easier. Nowadays, they have those DVD players in the 2nd row, and the comfy leather seats. It feels like you are on a plane. How can you NOT find that cool. They also have those built in screens at the front row. That is also cool. In fact, back in the 90's, I was in minivan commercials promoting the Ford Windstar.

So, why do you guys hate minivans? Please comment and tell me why.
