Finally watched the Star Trek Into Darkness trailer. I wasn't the biggest fan of the first one, but the trailer is pretty cool. Very intrigued by the callback shot to Wrath of Kahn.

A lot of my favorite TV shows hit a supreme level of brilliance during their third season. There's something about the third season that it seems like it's just long enough for the show runners, actors, and writers to get settled in and comfortable enough to do their very best. Some of my favorite shows with great third seasons: The Simpsons, Scrubs, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and while I wouldn't call it one of my favorite shows anymore, the third season of Lost is still my favorite by far. Hoping that the third season of The Walking Dead can offer the same level of brilliance.

As many things as my wife and I have in common, Middle Earth makes her fall asleep. So I have to find a day to see Hobbit on my own, unfortunately. It seems the consensus is that it's good, but not great.

Haven't decided if I'll go to a movie on Christmas day or not yet. Theaters in the city are always packed on a normal day, I can't imagine what they'll be then.

Haven't been around much lately. When I'm not working, I've been neck-deep in The Wire. Just finished season 3. That show is fucking brilliant.

Wish I could've checked out The Hobbit this weekend. Every single show was sold out!

How will the Angry Birds Movie avoid the horrifying nature of the kamikaze birds?

I want to see a zombie movie period piece. Question is, which period in history do you want to see zombies invade?--I say the industrial revolution.

I can't think of a single thing that would make me stop watching The Walking Dead. Maybe if there were no more zombies I'd stop, but I can't say for sure.

If the writing became horrible I would. A lot might jump ship if Daryl was killed lol I love him too though.

Is the world really going off the deep end, or does insanity just make for better news coverage?

The Columbus Circle subway station is wall-to-wall Hobbit ads, and it's amazing. Makes me think of my Schmoes.

Beginning to play Christmas music today. Don't judge me.

I've had a run of bad theatre experiences. So much so that I would pay extra for a movie if each movie was policed by an employee who would keep an eye out for talkers and texters.

Really enjoyed Skyfall. Would love for them to keep up this style and tone for the next 2 films.

It really is great. I watched the first two seasons and was blown away. I have the rest of the seasons, I just need to get back into it.
