Things I probably shouldn't admit on MFC (this is for fun, you can criticize but please don't verbally rape me)
I don't mind any of these except #3. I take it as a direct insult towards me and my way of life. I demand an apology. Also, I will not accept your apology. Good day, sir.
However, I'm with you on 1,4,6,8, and 9. Good list.
To each their own. And I enjoy Batman and Robin, which is much worse in MFC rules.
Great list. I would apply #9 to remakes in general. I love what was done with Ocean's 11 for example. A throwaway movie from the 60s which was reinvented in to something slick and entertaining. I do not like it when they try to remake what were already classics (eg The Manchurian Candidate).
The big knock on Batman & Robin (and Batman Forever for that matter) for me was that they essentially made a movie based more on the dynamics of the campy 60s show versus the more gritty (yet still fantasy based) Tim Burton films. It was a big shift. If you view it in the context of the former, they are kind of fun.
Ok I'm about to destroy this list because....
1. I have never seen an episode of Dr. Who.
2. I haven't seen a Superman movie all the way through. I watched one when I was prob about 6 years old and I remember being wicked bored and turning them off and thinking...wow he's a Super Weeny.
3. I actually liked Batman Forever.
4. I have never seen an episode of Star Trek or the movies beside JJ Abrams reboot.
5. I seriously disliked Harry Potter up until about 3 months ago. Now I just seriously dislike the first 2 movies, and enjoy the rest. But I'm still not a huge fan, I just like them.
6. I think the character Rambo is terribly overrated.
