So I just realized that nearly every Tarantino film has a two word title, with only the Kill Bill films excluded because of their "Volume 1" and "Volume 2" subtitles.

Which do you prefer these days insofar as your westerns go - period (Deadwood, Unforgiven, etc..) or present (No Country for Old Men, The Last Stand, etc...)?

period always, just more natural. Not to say that there aren't great 'present' ones though

klinteastwood
klinteastwood at 03:03 AM Dec 08

period. but i do love good modern western

I haven't really seen much present day Westerns, if any at all that I can recall. So I'll have to go with...

Period.

ARGO was solid. Not Best Picture, but solid and entertaining. Which is actually saying a lot, because rarely am I that genuinely... well, entertained.

Had two layers of dreaming of last. Anybody out there ever have three or more?

Lincoln. The good: excellent performances, Daniel Day-Lewis truly stuns again, lovely restrained score from John Williams, and a fascinating series of political machinations masterfully woven together by Tony Kushner. The bad: a weak fizzle of an ending that undoes everything that came before it and distractingly strange camera angle choices/editing. All in all, still well worth watching.

Absolutely agree with you here, not a great ending but man those performances were truly great. Tommy Lee Jones was really solid too.

When I first glanced at the picture, I thought it was Alex Pettyfer.

Only a little over a month before we start shooting my first full length feature film script! If there's anyone out there in Salt Lake City, we could use your help.

If I were Christopher Walken, I would have so much fun finding reasons to say "I'm Walken here!"

Trick 'r Treat is still my ultimate Halloween film.

It's a remarkably atmospheric Horror Classic , that needs to be firmly enshrined in everyone's Hallow's Eve Traditions .

Writing a horror movie on Halloween - am I doing it right?
AlejandroStepenberg updated his STATUS: 7 months ago

Having had the good fortune to check out an early screening, I'm calling it now: CLOUD ATLAS will be the Best Picture to not win Best Picture. And not just of this year, but many years both passed and yet to come.

I'm going to be devastated if this movie lets me down (and with expectations as high as they are it probably will) and I'll explode it if reaches my expectations... either way it looks like I'm fucked.

Should watch movies... can't stop playing Dishonored... how will I manage when Assassin's Creed III hits?

I'm the same way with Borderlands 2 and then in a few weeks I'll move onto AC3. I wanted to get Dishonored but that'll have to wait until December when I have a few months of no new games (nothing else until February for me)

Then again, I'm also irrationally excited for SILENT HELL: REVELATION 3D.
YoshioKun13
YoshioKun13 at 10:15 PM Oct 12

That would've been a better title.

AlejandroStepenberg
AlejandroStepenberg at 02:21 AM Oct 13

Oh goddamnit. I think my brain did one of those gaffs where I was looking at the tagline and it just stuck the word "hell" right in there.

YoshioKun13
YoshioKun13 at 02:30 AM Oct 13

Haha.

SILENT HELL will the be the Asylum knockoff.

I'm officially terrified by the previews for SINISTER. As in, so much so that I don't know if I could handle watching it.
