Super 8 was like a spielberg from someone who wasn't quite sure what made steven's films so good. It had a lot of good parts sprinkled here and there and the last hour really brought it together but the first hour, oh my god i was bored. I would recommend with a grain of salt
A bunch of my friends who got to see a sneak peek of it said the same thing... a couple of them said it was enjoyable though and one of them thought it was awesome... the more reactions I see the more divided the audience becomes... those dying for some retro throwback love it, but those that aren't dying for it see it as a needless 'hey look it's like the good old days! remember this movie? how about this one?' kinda thing.

I wanna like the new conan but then he talks.
side note: the real conan knocked out a camel with just his fist, this one needs a huge chain to knock down a horse... why downgrade?
i am completely biased in this matter as i would probably lick live bees off jason momoa's chest
haha don't worry i'm exactly the same way with arnold... not the licking thing... the biased... damnit

HEY! i'm a senior Schmoe! I don't know when that happened but it's awesome
I think my main problem with scr4m and with scream in general is it's legacy as a film that belongs up there with Elm Street and Halloween.
But to be fair, it didn't put in the time. The 90s wasn't that long ago and the scream franchise was only able to give us two sequels before it died on us. Two sequels is nothing when compared with the nine of the Elm Street Franchise or the billions of Halloween and Jason movies.
I think because of the premise of Scream, it seems to burn out real quite. By the third one, people were already bored with what scream had to offer.
But why? Why did this happen?
Boring killer.
sure never campbell as sidney plays a good character but everyone else is pretty one-note and the same old same old so that leaves fans looking at the killer.
I mean look at Freddy, you know his back-story: his manner of kills, his jokes and you like him for that.
I don't even like Jason: but i know all about him, his childhood, his weapon of choice, etc.
I mean I feel like i'm dating these guys that's how much I know about them.
The problem with Scream is that ghostface changes every time. So the end of every scream becomes a scooby-doo episode where they just reveal themselves to Sidney and then get murdered.
Which made sense in part one but in part 4? why even let sidney in? She's not part of their plan really? Just kill her and then you can keep doing what you're doing.
I did like scream 1 but the rest: Give me freddy or leatherface or even pinhead any day!
Angryyou make very valid points.. especially about the comparisons of Ghostface to iconic characters in horror.. I don't think people love the Scream franchise for "ghostface", though... or are even putting him on the same level as Freddy, Jason, or Myers.
Oh it's from this game called terrordome. It has a website but sadly they had to get rid of a lot of the characters. :( studios
Hey guys, I made this film last summer. It is been played at the White Sands International Film Festival on Saturday August 27 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It played to a sold out crowd at the Plaza Classic Film Festival. Please check it out!
