Spoilers for Drive ahead.
My girlfriend didn't understand why Albert Brooks tried to kill Ryan Gosling at the end of the movie. Why not just let him skip town and live his life looking over his shoulder? I tried to explain my idea but she said there were too many other possibilities. Thoughts? Why do you think Albert Brooks tried to finish off The Driver?
Because it looks better for him if he gets the money back and kills the Driver. Nino stealing the money doesn't just reflect badly on Nino, but everyone. He was trying to clean up the mess and make things right again. He said he'd let him go because he wanted him not to see it coming.

Chillin'

That's what I thought, too, but my girlfriend said that didn't make sense lol
