Re: Captain America Pics - Ok, I have a glimmer of hope. Since that is the stunt double, I'm thinking it might be a fake costume. If you look close everything looks airbrushed on it. They might not have the real thing being used in stunt scenes. (I don't care if I'm being foolish about this. I want to hope.)
Yeah. Depending on how they do the Hydra thing, it could be awesome or pure camp. I don't think there is going to be a middle ground.
It's so hard to tell anything by these pictures because we don't know what their doing but they look like stunt performers for long shots to me based on the cheap looking costumes, and its hard to judge because they could be doing so much in post with color filters and all that stuff so it's not even in the proper lighting or an actual shot from the actual film cameras. It's still way to early to judge anything for me.
I just wish they would have jumped the media and released a real test shot of Evans first. I've never been more worried about a movie. Cap is one of my favorite characters and I don't want to see him screwed up.
Yeah if handled correctly it has the potential to be an great movie, while I didn't read much of Cap growing up I got into it with Brubaker writing it and then Civil War happened. It was Civil War that made me really come to like him because before then I thought of him like the drink your milk, respect authority type of character but it was during Civil War when he stood up for what was right even though it mean't being branded as a traitor by the Country he loves that showed me what a great character he really is. What I love about Cap is he represents the true American spirit and not a political party or government.
I think, or at least hope it's just being used for long shots because like you said it looks like a cheap costume thats been airbrushed or something. The Hydra motorcycles are kind of strange looking and suggest there going for a future tech version of the 40's or something more advanced for the time period.
