Uwe Boll is making a movie called Auschwitz. The teaser is one of the most disturbing things I've seen. I can't believe how angry it made m.

I think the fact alone, Uwe Boll making a movie should piss you off.
I think the reason I am so appalled is that it is Uwe Boll doing a Holocaust movie. If I saw this trailer and it was in a capable director's hands, I would interpret it very differently. But when it is being done by a schlock director at best, it is just infuriating.
I'm not standing up for Bolle here cause I don't like his movies either but had you seen the same trailer and it had a differant Directors name on it would it interest you?
@NiteOwl: I would easily give this movie more credence with a different director. There are certain directors that have earned the right to handle sensitive and controversial material. For a director who has made a career on making schlock movies and and horrible schlock movies at that. Even with another director's involvement, after seeing the first 20 seconds or so of that trailer, I'm not sure any director who made it, would actually make me feel better about the project. It was pretty appalling.
I haven't seen the trailer myself but I was wondering if it was just Bolles involvement in it given his past work or the movie itself looked appalling. Bolle is the last person that should be making a movie of this subject but maybe it was actually a passion project for him and he had something to say with it so who knows, I think I'm gonna have to check out this trailer.
It's a little of both. The trailer is appalling on its own, but in the right hands, that feeling would be done for the right reasons. Knowing Boll's past and his movie making resume, I have a hard time believing or seeing this as being done for the right reasons.
I just checked out the trailer and I think it's just for shock value as opposed to any real artistic expression, even without Bolle being involved I would have to question the motives behind it.
Just saw the teaser in a search. Uwe has hit a whole new low.
