I will say this about the SPIDER-MAN trailer though. Everything that is shown has already been done in the previous trilogy in my opinion minus Lizard and the pointless "parents abandoned me" story. Yes the movie looks terrific but the big solo web-slinging scenes and the action bits have been done and to be honest I think the ones in the original trilogy look better than the one shown in this trailer.
Still very excited to see it though.
I'm actually interested in how the parents' storyline fits into this. They were never mentioned once in the Raimi films, and as I understand it, in the comics they had their own sordid history well before Peter came along.
There's a lot of potential to be mined from the comics involving Peter's missing parents.

How much different do you expect the web slinging to be though, that's one of the few things the Raimi films nailed. Plus there's the new POV sequences we've seen in the first trailer as well. The big improvement I see besides the cast is the tone. The Raimi films are way to childish and whimsical for there own good, the first movie especially doesn't hold up well.
